The Routine Lives On A Screen, Not In Someone's Head
Opening list, closing list, weekly cleaning, equipment servicing: each one becomes the day's task list from a template. Who did it, when, and what was left undone are all on the record. The shift handover stops being a conversation.
What it does
The Tasks module runs the work a restaurant repeats. A template is written once and generated as that day's list; a task is attached to a person and a date and carries its own priority and status. The shift handover is a separate record: from which shift to which, at which branch, with which notes.
What you get
The day's list from a template
Opening, closing and weekly work is written once as a template. The day's list is generated from it, so staff do not rewrite the same list every morning — and a step nobody did stays open on it.
Today's tasks on one screen
Whoever is on shift looks only at today: the work that falls to them, its priority and its time. What is done and what is not reads the same for everyone facing the screen.
Ownership by person and date
Every task carries an assignee, a due date and a priority. The argument about who was supposed to do it is settled by the record itself.
The handover as a written record
Whatever passes from morning to evening is written down: from which shift to which, at which branch, with which notes. It reads back by branch and date.
Grouping under projects
One-off work is collected under a project: opening a new branch, changing the menu, preparing for an inspection. A long job stays visible instead of drifting.
Status and priority filters
Tasks filter by status, priority, assignee and a due-date range. Late work does not disappear down the bottom of a list.
How it works
Routine work is generated from a template, not rewritten daily
The opening list, the closing list and weekly servicing are defined once as templates. The day's list is generated from them — for a single template or for all of the daily ones at once. Staff do not try to remember the list, they work it; and a step nobody did stays open rather than quietly disappearing.
- A template is written once and generated for each day
- All daily templates can be opened for a date in one action
- Progress reads step by step: how many done, how many left
- An undone step does not close, and is still there at end of day
The shift handover stops being spoken
A handover is a record: from which shift to which, at which branch, on which date and with which notes. Broken equipment, a product that ran out, a job left half-finished all get written down. The next day, "nobody told me" has an answer on the record.
- The outgoing and incoming shift are both named on the record
- It reads back by branch and date
- A free note field: equipment, stock, unfinished work
- The handover reads from the same shift data as the roster
Frequently asked
Are the opening and closing lists rewritten by hand every day?
No. The list is written once as a template and the day's tasks are generated from it — for a single template or for all the daily ones in one action. A step nobody did does not close; it is still open on the list at the end of the day.
Where is the shift handover kept?
In its own record. A handover stores the outgoing shift, the incoming shift, the branch, the date and a free note field, and reads back by branch and date. Broken equipment, stock that ran out and unfinished work are not left to a spoken word.
