Stock, Lots and Cold Chain
Every ingredient tracked at lot level from supplier to kitchen. Cold-chain sensors monitor temperature 24/7 and raise an alert the moment a threshold is crossed. HACCP report ready in one click for the inspector.
What it does
The stock module creates a lot for every delivery; the remaining quantity drops in real time as the menu-item recipe is consumed. When the tomato lot runs out the system hides "Margherita Pizza" from the menu automatically, guests never hear "sorry, we're out".
Highlighted capabilities
Lot / FIFO / FEFO
Automatic consumption order by expiry date. Earliest dates go first, waste drops, nothing spoils on the shelf.
Multi-warehouse & transfer
Branch-internal and branch-to-branch transfers, location-level stock and reservations, "is it in central or in the kitchen?" stops being a debate.
Purchase orders
PO numbering, approval flow, partial GRN, unit-price history, supplier price drift stays on the record.
Supplier contracts
Contract pricing, SLA, delivery performance, measure which supplier was late and which one undercut.
Temperature log (IoT)
Automatic temperature capture, threshold rules, deviation reports. You know before the fridge fails.
Demand forecast
ML-based forecasting from history, "how many kilos of meat do we need next Friday" gets a number.
How it works
Traceable from farm to fork
Every delivery creates a lot. Linked to the recipe, it drops automatically with each sale. If a recall hits, you find every affected order in seconds.
- Recipe-ingredient linkage between menu and stock
- Lot-level traceability for recalls
- Automatic waste / loss / return entries
- Stock summary table, fast on large inventories
Cold chain, audit-ready
IoT sensors read temperature 24/7. A threshold breach raises an alert and writes a breach record bound to the affected lot. One click for the HACCP report when the inspector arrives.
- Storage locations (Freezer, Chiller, Dry)
- Threshold-based alert rules
- Breach record + corrective action flow
- HACCP report, inspection-ready
Frequently asked
Does SterkChef track stock at the lot level?
Yes. Each lot carries received date, best-before date and remaining quantity. FEFO (first-expired, first-out) is applied automatically across recipes.
Can SterkChef monitor cold-chain temperature?
Yes. IoT temperature sensors feed readings into the platform at configurable intervals and write HACCP-compliant logs.
How are recalls handled?
A lot can be flagged for recall in the backoffice; SterkChef immediately surfaces every menu item, branch and sale linked to that lot.
